About The Dive Hub

The Dive Hub was born from the bottom of a rinse tank and the top of a spreadsheet—where real-world dive operations meet sharp business strategy. Founded by Gary Ward, a former banker turned dive center owner, The Dive Hub is a B2B platform built for destination dive shops that are tired of flying blind when it comes to pricing, marketing, and profitability.

After 14 years running Deefer Diving in Carriacou, Grenada—and leading the marine conservation NGO Caribbean Reef Buddy—Gary saw the same pattern repeating across the industry: passionate dive professionals struggling to make the numbers work. So he created The Dive Hub to change that. This isn’t another glossy travel blog or gear channel. It’s a straight-talking resource for operators who want to run smarter, leaner, and more sustainable businesses.

With an MBA, CIMA qualifications, and a background in consulting, Gary brings a rare blend of financial insight and frontline dive experience. Through YouTube videos, downloadable tools, and remote workshops, The Dive Hub delivers practical advice without the fluff. Whether you're launching your first dive shop, trying to survive the off-season, or just wondering why your compressor keeps eating your margins—this is where you come to get answers.

The Dive Hub also champions edu-tourism and commercially viable conservation. As Gary relocates to the Philippines to launch a new marine NGO, the mission remains the same: help dive centers thrive, protect the ocean, and build businesses that last.
